Japanese carmaker Nissan Motors used the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show to unveil the 2016 Nissan Sentra, which brings to market a facelift that makes it look like a baby Maxima, as well as a host of new tech features.
The Sentra’s new face brings it in line with Nissan’s new design language and is characterised by a V-shaped grille flanked by boomerang-shape headlights and a reshaped hood and bumper have with more pronounced curves.
Elsewhere, we see new taillights and a re-sculpted bumper at the rear, new fenders and redesigned 17-inch wheels.
The upgraded interior houses a new steering wheel and shifter inspired by the one in the 370Z, a restyled instrument cluster with a higher-resolution LCD and a 5.0-inch driver-assist display between the tach and speedometer on certain models, available power driver’s seat with power lumbar, and refined seat fabrics.
The 2016 Nissan Sentra is still powered by the same 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine as the 2015 model, producing 130 horsepower and 128 lb-ft. (173 Nm) of torque. An Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) is standard on most models, but the entry-level Sentra S can also be had with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Engineers retuned the electronic steering, transmission control and suspension systems to improve handling and ride quality, increasing spring and damper rates by 10 percent and stiffening the body a tad bit more.
Safety has also been enhanced with wide range of driver-assistance technologies that include blind-spot warning, automatic emergency braking, intelligent cruise control, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Rivian R1T Is The Electric Pickup Truck Of Your Dreams
It’s an electrified pickup that delivers insane performance and serious truck capabilities.
You may have never heard of Rivian, but it’s a company to watch out for. At the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, it shocked (pun intended) showgoers by unveiling a new electric pickup truck that not only looks cool, but also beats most supercars in a drag race and has a driving range of up to 400 miles (644 km) on a single charge.
The so-called R1T is the first of two electric vehicles that Rivian showed off at LA — the second is an electric SUV — and is based on a platform that positions the battery pack, electric motors, suspension, braking and other systems all below the height of the wheels to deliver a low center of gravity.
This electric truck is the very definition of space maximization. In addition to providing enough room for five occupants, it features a spacious integrated, watertight bed, as well as a large 350 liter (12.3 cu.ft) front truck (frunk).
There’s even more storage room beneath the rear-seat floor and also underneath the bed floor (200 liters / 7 cu.ft), while a lockable gear tunnel offers ample room for longer items such as skis, a snowboard, tent, stroller or perhaps golf clubs.

It also provides driver and passengers alike with high levels of connectivity and safety via Rivian’s connected car platform, which operates on a high-speed Ethernet backbone for over-the-air software updates and on a cloud-ecosystem for data exchange.
An 15.6-inch touch screen infotainment display, working with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 6.8-inch rear touchscreen display provide a clean interface of the truck’s numerous functions.
Pricing for the Rivian R1T starts at $61,500 in the United States after the Federal Tax credit, and deliveries begin in late 2020. Rivian is currently taking reservations, and interested buyers can make their refundable deposit of $1,000 at the .
New Porsche 911 Arrives With Timeless Design, More Tech And Power
The new 911 might not look all that new, but — trust us — it’s new.
Porsche has finally unveiled the eighth-generation, 992 Porsche 911, and it’s a gem.
While the overall design changes little, no one will mistake the new 911 for anything else. Porsche knows better than to mess with such an iconic and timeless design, but looking closely reveals a few new styling elements that not only draw inspiration from early 911s, but also increase the aggressiveness factor.
The middle section of the hood, for instance, is lower than the outer edges in a clear nod to early 911s, while the rear features thinner lights and a bumper insert incorporating oval exhaust tips. The wheel arches have been beefed up for a wider, more planted look and house 20-inch front and 21-inch rear alloys.
The wheels themselves have new designs and paint colors, with each variant receiving vintage-looking emblems.
Inside, designers drew inspiration from 911s made in the 1970s when laying out the exceptionally modern cockpit. The instrument cluster consists of an analog tachometer flanked by a pair of configurable screens, while the infotainment system is displayed on a 10.9-inch color touchscreen located on the dashboard.
911 owners benefit from three smartphone applications. Called Porsche Road Trip, the first app helps organize road trips by planning a route, offering hotel and restaurant recommendations, and selecting viewpoints along the way. Second is the Porsche 360+, which is a personal lifestyle assistant “intended to make everyday life easier and exclusive experiences possible.” Finally, Porsche Impact is an emissions calculator that tells owners how much CO2 their 911 emits and how they can clear their conscious by making donations (via the app) to climate projects around the world.
The options list now includes Adaptive cruise control with a stop-and-go function and night vision are found on the list of extra-cost options, while a new feature called the Porsche Wet Mode can detect water on the road, adjust various parameters like the ABS settings and the stability control system accordingly, and allows the driver to switch to a safer driving mode at the push of a button.
As expected, the 2020 Porsche 911 is powered by an improved version of the 991 911’s turbocharged six-cylinder engine. In the 911 Carrera S and Carrera 4S, it produces 443 horsepower — 23 more horsepower than before — and can be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission or manual transmission, a setup that allows the former to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds and the latter to complete the run in 3.4 seconds.
If you want even better performance, opt for the Sport Chrono package, which drops the 0-60 mph time to a supercar-like 3.2 seconds.

New Hyundai Palisade SUV Is Hyundai’s Top Vehicle

Hyundai has introduced its biggest SUV to date at the 2018 Los Angeles auto show, the new Palisade!
As a large, mainstream three-row SUV, the Palisade is Hyundai’s answer to the likes of the Ford Explorer, Subaru Ascent, and Volkswagen Atlas. It has a presence that cannot be ignored, thanks in large part to a blunt front end with a massive, thickly-chromed grille and thin lights. It looks like a Kona on steroids, frankly speaking.
The interior has seating for up to eight passengers (a seven-passenger configuration is available) with 18 cubic feet of trunk space to spare. Folding the third row seats gets you 45.8 cubes, and there are some 16 cup holders scattered throughout.
When designing the dashboard, Hyundai replaced many of the buttons one would normally expect with a 10.2-inch touch screen but made sure to keep physical buttons for the stereo and the HVAC. The company’s Blue Link app allows owners to perform a wide variety of functions like locking or unlocking the car, starting the engine, and adjusting the climate control.
The options list includes wireless smartphone charging, seven USB ports, a power-operated hatch, and third-row seats that fold down at the push of a button.
Under the hood, the Palisade launches with a 3.8-liter, Atkinson-cycle V6 that generates 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft. of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission spins the front wheels, though buyers can pay extra for all-wheel drive.
The Hyundai Palisade replaces the Santa Fe XL. North American sales begin in summer 2019.
